Treatment of dental malposition with transparent aligners (Invisalign)

Success stories

Tractament de la malposició dental amb alineadors transparents (Invisalign)

The patient had a space between the upper and lower incisors called an anterior open bite.

The smile was affected because it was of small amplitude, and there was little exposure of the upper incisors and it described an inverted curve of the teeth when smiling.

After being presented with different orthodontic treatment options to correct this situation, the patient opted for the Invisalign technique.

This technique consists of using aligners or splints (like the one seen in the central photograph) that are changed every 15 days and that progressively move the teeth to solve the aforementioned problems by leveling the maxillary arch, obtaining a harmonious dental exposure and smile curve.

The Invisalign technique is more aesthetic (practically invisible) and more hygienic than traditional ones, as it allows the splints to be removed to eat and therefore maintain an optimal level of dental hygiene.
