The hybrid prosthesis on implants is a very good fixed treatment option in cases where the patient requires artificial restoration of bone, gum and all the teeth of a dental arch; in addition, it excellently restores the patient’s aesthetics and masticatory function.
In this case, the patient comes to our office with a very poor occlusion (the way the teeth close together) and with the periodontal condition (condition of the bone and gum) of the upper teeth very degraded.
Seeing that the prognosis of these pieces in the long-medium term would be very uncertain, we opted for the extraction of all the teeth in the upper jaw and the placement of 6 implants.
A screw-mounted (fixed) prosthesis is then made on these implants, which will provide excellent masticatory function, occlusion and aesthetics on the same day of the intervention (the sutures can be observed under the prosthesis). + info: http://www.clinicacervera.es/ca/protesis
