{"id":3254,"date":"2020-01-20T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-19T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clinicacervera.es\/actualitat\/endodontics\/"},"modified":"2020-01-20T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-01-19T22:00:00","slug":"endodontics","status":"publish","type":"actualitat","link":"https:\/\/clinicacervera.es\/en\/news\/endodontics\/","title":{"rendered":"Endodontics"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What is endodontics?<\/h2>\n<p>When a patient comes to the consultation with the reason for pain that is accentuated with thermal changes &#8211; cold, heat &#8211; or with sweets, the first suspicion is that a tooth or molar has extensive caries.<\/p>\n<p>This decay has advanced inside the piece until it reaches its innermost part, the dental pulp.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, the indicated treatment is endodontics, or what is commonly known as &#8220;killing the nerve.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Endodontics is performed under local anesthesia and absolute isolation in one or two clinical sessions.<\/p>\n<p>It consists of eliminating all the bacteria that have invaded the pulp and sealing it completely.<\/p>\n<p>Once completed, the treated tooth must be reconstructed.<\/p>\n<p>To prevent cavities from affecting the dental pulp, it is important to have regular check-ups with specific x-rays.
