First appointment

Importance of the diagnosis

The first or diagnostic appointment is the most important visit that the patient will make to our clinic. Our wish is to make this appointment as satisfactory as possible, so that the patient feels supported and guided at all times.

Upon arrival, we will fill in a form with your personal details and complete a medical questionnaire. You will then be asked for the reason for coming and your expectations regarding the treatment.

After this initial contact, your teeth, gums and occlusion will be carefully examined. We will obtain X-rays, photographs, dentition records and, if necessary, a 3D scan to precisely image the mandible and maxillary bones. Consequently, the necessary time must be devoted to this appointment in order to obtain an accurate diagnosis which will enable us to offer the patient appropriate treatment options.

On the same day or at a later appointment (if a full work-up by the various specialists at the clinic is required), the various treatment options are presented, with each one's advantages and disadvantages, so that the patient can choose the treatment that best fits his or her health, functional and image needs.

At the end of the presentation, a portfolio will be provided with all the documentation concerning the work-up, diagnosis and treatment plan, including a detailed estimate proposing the various methods of payment or financing so that the patient can choose the method that best suits him or her.
