Case of a patient diagnosed with rapidly progressive generalized periodontitis in the year

He underwent periodontal treatment that slowed the progression of the disease, entering a periodontal maintenance phase until 2010, when he abandoned the controls.
Without these maintenance checks, there is a risk of suffering a relapse of the disease, as happened in this case, which recently returned to the consultation due to mobility of the upper incisors.
Reactivation of the disease was observed with considerable loss of bone support that could have been avoided by following the periodontal maintenance program.
