Pink aesthetics is an element that complements dental aesthetics and corresponds to the appearance of the tissues that surround the teeth: the gums and periodontal tissue.
This is determined by healthy gums, their pink color and the level of these with the teeth.
In this case, the lack of a good gingival contour on the upper central incisors is striking.
The patient has lost gingival volume and the roots of the teeth are visible.
Due to the very poor prognosis of these two teeth, with continuous recurrent infections, their extraction and subsequent remodeling of the soft tissues were necessary in order to achieve an adequate pink aesthetic.
A 4-piece provisional bridge was prepared (from right lateral incisor to left lateral incisor) so that the patient would not be without teeth at any time.
The extractions of the two central pieces were carried out, along with the regeneration of the bone defect due to recurrent infections and a connective tissue graft in order to achieve the lost gingival volume.
Next, the provisional bridge was modeled until the desired gingival contour was achieved, and finally the definitive four-piece ceramic bridge was made.
The white aesthetics (teeth) were improved with the help of plastic orthodontics, aligning the teeth and their axes.
